Mera Peak climbing (6,416 metres) is known for the best peak climbing in Nepal. Mera Peak which is one of the highest peak and the highest trekking in Nepal area lies in Everest Trekking Region. This Everest Trekking Region is popularly known as Khumbu Region. The other factor that makes this Mera Peak Climbing popular is that it is suitable for everyone who are physically fit.
Mera Peak Climbing is not only related to peak climbing but in-fact this is a trekking in Everest region as well. This Mera Peak Climbing rewards you with the opportunity to explore the traditions, lifestyle and culture of the Sherpa people. Not only this this Mera Peak Climbing comes with the view of snowcapped mountains like Mt Everest, Cho-Oyu, Lhotse, Makalu, Kanchenjunga and others which lies in the Everest Region.

The best period for Mera Peak Climbing is Spring (March- May) and Autumn (mid-September to November).

Kathmandu (1,334 m):

Upon your arrival in Tribhuvan International Airport Kathmandu, a Zed Travel representative will be there for your warm welcome and will help you to transfer to the hotel. In hotel take good rest and get refreshed of the jetlag. In evening join welcome dinner organized by Zed Travels Team. Overnight.


Kathmandu Sightseeing (1,334 m):

A guided half day Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing is dedicated to explore some of the UNESCO World Heritage Listed sites which includes Kathmandu Durbar square, Swoyambhunath ,also known as “Monkey Temple”, Pashupatinath –temple of Lord Shiva and Bouddhanath; a Buddhist place. After sightseeing evening will be for trip briefing and preparation of things per need.


Lukla (2.810 m/40 minutes flight):

Early morning we will take a spectacular flight to Lukla. As we will arrive Lukla in the morning we will have whole day to explore the beautiful settlement of Lukla. Overnight at Lukla.


Chutanga (3,430 m/3-4 hours trek):

After breakfast, we will officially starts our trekking. From Lukla we will take comparatively less used trail of Everest trekking through dense pine and rhododendron forest to reach Chutanga. This day on the way to Chutanga we will also cross some small streams. Overnight at Chutanga.


Thuli Kharka (4,000 m/5-6 hours trek):

From Chuntanga, we take ascending trail and cross Kalo Himal ranges in Nau Lekh- border of Khumbu and Hinku valley. From there we will cross a small at Zartwa Og. After the pass, we will take descend trail and will trek to Thuli Kharka. Here will make our tented camp for overnight.


Mausum Kharka (3,430 m):

The trail first descent down crossing Hinku valley with viewing south face of Mera. It then goes through rhododendron and pine forest which gradually leads to  Mausam Kharka. Reach Mausam Kharka set camp for overnight.


Thagnag (4,360 m/6-7 hours trek):

After breakfast, we will resume our trekking. This day we will Follow the west bank of Hinku Drangka and will pass several Kharkas before reaching Gondishung (4,350 m). Gondishung is a summer settlement of Tagnag and have 200 years old Gompa. From Gondishung, we will trek to Thagnag for overnight.


Acclimatization day:

As the altitude rise up this day is for rest. On this day we take walk around Thangnag and explore the stunning surroundings. Peak 43, Sabai Tsho; a glacial lake will the highlight this day. Overnight at camp.


Khare (5,000 m/3-4 hours trek):

After spending a wonderful day at Khagnag this day we will trek to Khare. It will be a gentle yet a wonderful trekking day where we will walk with beautiful scenery and also pass some small yet wonderful streams. Overnight at Khare.


Rest Day/ Ice Climbing near Khare:

An acclimatization day. We can do some ice climbing practices this day or can also hike up to Mera La for wonderful views.Overnight in tented camp.


Mera High Camp (5,800 m/3-4hours trek):

We take early breakfast and will start our journey to Mera Peak Base Camp. The trail from Khare to Mera High Camp is quite steep and a challenging one as well. Upon we reach high camp we will set up our camp there. In free time we can enjoy the superb views of Makalu, the Mt. Everest, Nuptse, High camp view of Cho oyu and Kanchenjunga. Overnight in tented camp.


Summit Mera (6,476 m) and descend to Khare (5,025 m/8-9hours trek):

Day when our dream come true. This day we have to start earlier than usual means we will start climbing around 2-3 am and will be at the top by 6-9 am. From summit we can enjoy the awe inspiring views of Mt. Everest (8,848 m), Cho-Oyu (8,210 m), Lhotse (8,516 m), Makalu (8,463 m), Kangchenjunga (8,586 m), Barunste (7,129 m.), Chamlang (7,319 m) and Nau Lekh (6,360 m). We will spend some time on the top. After then we descend back to High Camp and then all the way back to Khare for overnight. Overnight at Khare..


A spare Summit attempt day:

We take one extra day as a spare day for in case we have to postpone our summit attempt because of the bad weather.


Gothey (3,600 m/4-5 hours trek):

With enjoying the scenic snowcapped mountains views along the way this day we will trek to Gothey. Overnight at Gothey.


Tuli Kharka (4,250 m/5-6 hours trek):

After early breakfast at Gothey, we will take ascending up trail through rhododendron forest to reach Thuli Kharka for overnight. Overnight at Thuli Kharka.


Lukla (2,810 m/6-7 hours trek):

From Thuli Kharka we will first ascend to Zatrwa La. From Zatrwa we will descend all the way down to Lukla. In evening we will have dinner with climbing crew. Overnight at Lukla. down to Lukla. In evening we will have dinner with our climbing crew at Lukla. Overnight at Lukla.


Kathmandu (1,334 m/40 minutes flight):

Early morning we will take a spectacular flight and will back to Kathmandu. In free time we can take rest sometime. After then you can do some gifts shopping. In evening join farewell dinner with Zed Travels Team for successful Mera Peak Climbing . Overnight at hotel.


Fly back home:

A Zed Travels representative will accompany you to Tribhuvan International Airport with beautiful memories to catch your returning flight back home.
