Manaslu Circuit Trekking at Budget Cost With Zed

Manaslu Circuit Trekking is one the classic treks in Nepal which offers to explore untouched and unspoiled land of Nepal. A trekking into the foothill of world’s eight highest mountain is a challenging, yet wonderful trekking into the remote part of Nepal which is also a part of The Great Himalayan Trail.
Manaslu Circuit Trek is newly promoted trekking route of Nepal which was formally opened in 1992. This amazing Manaslu Circuit trekking route is popular for the spectacular natural aspects and the culture and traditions of people which is influenced by Tibetan Cultures and traditions. The challenging Larkya La pass and possible encounter of endangered Snow Leopard are other highlight of the trek.

Best Season for Manaslu Circuit Trekking are September, October-December and February-April.

Manaslu Circuit Trekking Highlights

Arrival in Kathamandu (1,334 m)

Upon your arrival in Tribhuvan Internationa Airport, Kathmandu, a Zed Travels representative will be there for your warm welcome and help you to transfer to the hotel. In free time get refreshed from long jetlag. In evening join welcome dinner organize by Zed Travels Team. Overnight.


Kathmandu Sightseeing (1,334 m):

A guided full day sightseeing is dedicated to introduce some of the UNESCO World Heritage listed sites in Kathmandu including Soyambhunath- “The Monkey Temple”, Pashupatinath, Boudhanath and Kathmandu Durbar Square. In evening meet your guide and manage all the necessary gears for the trekking. Overnight.


Drive to Arughat (570 m/8 hours drive):

After breakfast, we take private vehicle and will drive to Arughat Bazar. The drive to scenic green hills passing through will be a memorable one. In Arughat we will have enough time for rest and to manage the gears. Overnight.


Trek to Soti Khola (730 m/5-6 hours trek):

The first day of the trekking. From Arughat we follow the Budhi Gandaki River Bank and trek through some small beautiful small villages which includes Morder and Simre. With some ups, downs we will reach Soti Khola for overnight.


Soti Khola to Machha Khola (930 m/5-6 hours trek):

From Soti Khola we take descend down trail and then crosses the suspension bridge. We then ascends up to the mountain ridge of Almara. From Almara we walk through dense forest to Riden Gaon. Further we trek to Labubesi and with gradual walk we will reach to Machha Khola for overnight.


Maccha Khola to Jagat (1,410 m/6-7 hours trek):

This day we will trek to Jagat from Machha Khola. The trail from Machha Khola has frequent ups and downs where Budhi Gandaki River will accompany us all the day. This day we will also cross the natural hot spring of Tatopani. Overnight at Jagat.


Jagat to Ngyak (2,310 m/5-6 hours trek):

After breakfast, this day we first ascend to a terraced hill of Saguleri where we will get chance to view amazing view of Sringi Himal (7,177 m). We then continue our walk to Ngyak via Sirish Gaon. We will stay overnight at Ngyak.


Ngyak to Ghap (2,100 m):

We take early breakfast and resume our trekking. The trail from Ngyak first take us to Deng Village – a small beautiful village and further we walk through the rock tunnel and reach Ghap. Ghap is a village with Mani stones and Chortens and the culture and living style of the peoples are influenced by Tibetan culture. Overnight at Ghap.


Ghap to Lho (3,200 m/6-7 hours trek)

The trail to Lho from Ghap first passes a seasonal settlement od Nambachhe. It then ascend through the dense forest and take us to Namrung. Namrung is a Tibetan base village where we can get the glimpse of Tibetan culture and living style. From Namrung we will again pass several small villages before reaching Lho. In Lho we can enjoy the stunning views of Manaslu Ranges and also get the sunset view in the evening and sunrise view in the morning. Overnight.


Lho to Sama Gaon (3,500 m/6-7 hours trek)

An easy trekking day but a wonderful one when we can get incredible mountain views along the way. Enjoy walking with stunning views of mighty Himalayas. Reach Samdo and stay overnight.


Acclimatization and exploration day:

As we gain the altitude; this day is for acclimatization. We will spend a day here in order to acclimatize and adjust to the thinning of the air and also for local excursion. Overnight in Samdo.


Samdo to Dharamsala/Larkya Phedi (4,460 m/4-5 hours trek):

Setting destination Dharmasala we start our trekking early morning. This will a short trekking day. Upon our arrival in Dharmasala/Larkya Phedi we will spent our free time with taking rest and exploring around. Overnight at Larkya Phedi.


Cross Larkya La (5,215 m) and trek to Bimtang (3,590 m/6-7 hours trek):

Comparatively tough and long trekking day. The trail from Dharmasal climb up to the valley situated on Larkya Glaciers where we will get fabulous views of Cho Danda and Larkya Peak. We then cross the Larkya Pass where the marvelous views of Cheo Himal, Annapurna II,Himlung Himal and Kang Guru Himal makes our pass perfect one. After crossing the Larkya La we will then trek to Bimthang for overnight.


Bimthang to Tilje (2,500 m/6-7 hours trek):

From Bhimtang we descend and then cross a high pasture. Our trail then enters the dense rhododendron forest  then reaches Karche. From Karche we further trek to Tilije via Gho for today’s overnight.


Tilije to Tal (1,700 m/5-6 hours trek):

Setting destination Tal, today we trek through some beautiful villages including Thonje, Dharapani and Karte.  It takes approx. 6 hours to reach Tal from Tilje. Tal is a beautiful village which is located at the bottom massive waterfall. Overnight in Tal.


Tal to Syange (1,080 m/6-7 hours trek):

After breakfast, we start our trekking. From Tal the trail goes through dense rhododendron and pine forest via beautiful Chyamje village and to get to Syange. We will stay overnight at Syange.


Syange to Kathmandu (8-9 hours drive):

After breakfast, this day we will drive back to Kathmandu via Beshi Sahar. Upon you arrive in Kathmandu you can take rest for a while. After then you can buy some gifts for friends and family back home. In evening join farewell dinner organize by Zed Travels Team for successful Manaslu Circuit Trekking. Enjoy the dinner with Zed Travels Team. Overnight.
