Lobuche Peak Climbing, is one of the popular technical peak climbing in Nepal which is situated in famous Everest Trekking Region. It is just few miles away from Mount Everest- the highest peak in the world.

Zed Lobuche Peak has two different summits; Lobuche East Peak (6,119 m) and Lobuche West Peak (6,145 m). Here we operate Lobuche East Peak which offers amazing views of mighty mountains including Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam and Pumori. Lobuche Peak Climbing suits for physically fit climbers having previous climbing experience.

The best season for Lobuche Peak Climbing are spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November).

Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to the Hotel:

Upon your arrival in Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, a Zed Travels representative will be there for your warm welcome and help you to transfer to the hotel. In hotel take rest and get refreshed from jet lag. In evening join welcome dinner organized by Zed Travel Team. Overnight at Hotel.

Kathmandu Valley sightseeing and preparation:

A guided half day sightseeing is dedicated to introduce some of the UNESCO World Heritage Listed Sites; Soyambhunath- “The Monkey Temple”, Pashupatinath, Boudhanath and historical Kathmandu Durbar Square. At the same time one of the Zed Travels representative will be preparing permits needed for the climbing. In evening, we will check the equipment and will hire or buy in Thamel, if anything is missing. Overnight at hotel.

Kathmandu-Lukla-Phakding (2,652 m/8,700 ft)

A scenic 40 minutes flight from Kathmandu takes you to Lukla. In Lukla meet remaining crews then start trek to Phakding. It is 3 hours gentle walk through the banks of Dudh Koshi River to Phakding. Overnight at Phakding.

Phakding-Namche Bazar (3,440 m/11,280 ft)

After breakfast, we follow Dudhkoshi river we then pass several suspension bridges. With 6.5 hours walking we reach Namche Bazar which is the trading center of Khumbu Region. Overnight.

Acclimatization day in Namche Bazar

A rest day in Namche Bazar. This day we visit Tourist Visit Center to collect the knowledge of Sherpa traditions, cultures and flora and faunas of Khumbu Region. We also can hike up to Thame. As Namche is the last place to check the gears we also have time to check our gears and if something missed then we can hire it there. Overnight.

Namache Bazar to Tengboche (3,870 m/12,694 ft)

Set off towards Tengboche. This day the trail goes ups and downs and magnificent views of Mt Everest, Mt Nuptse, Mt Lhotse and close views of Thamserkhu and Amadablam will accompany along the way to Tengboche. As Tengboche is one of the best mountain view point we can enjoy the superb views of mountains. Tengboche also has the biggest Buddhist Monastery of Everest Region. Enjoy exploring. Overnight.

Tengboche to Dingboche (4,360 m/12,694 ft):

From Tengboche, this day we will trek to Dingboche. We pass several Chortens and Mani walls and small villages during this day. This day we also cross a village name Pangboche where the oldest Monastery of Everest Region is located. As Dingboche is another view point, we can enjoy amazing mountain views from there. Overnight.

Acclimatization day in Dingboche

As the elevation rise this day take a rest day at Dingboche. It is better to hike Nagarstang hill before lunch. After lunch, we take rest at Dingboche. Overnight.

Dingboche to Labuche (4,940 m/16,207 ft)

From Dingboche, the trail gradually climb up to Duglha. We then cross Duglha Pass the beginning of Khmubu Glacier and gradually trek up to Labuche. In Labuche we can find some typically stone design houses. Overnight.

Labuche to Gorakshep (5,170 m/16.961 ft)-Everest Base Camp (5,364 m/17,594 ft)-Gorakshep:

This day we start early morning from Labuche. The trail first go to Gorakshep for lunch. From Gorakshep we further hike up to Everest Base Camp. We can spend some time in Everest Base Camp. After then we trek back to Gorakshep for overnight. We can still get the superb views of mountains from our teahouse as well. Overnight.

Gorakshep to Kalapathar (5,545 m/18,192 ft)-Lobuche

Today, there is an opportunity to make the steady climb to the lofty summit of Kalapathar (5550m). Most people who are fit and have acclimatized without problems make this ascent. The views from Kalapathar are breathtaking – far better than Basecamp itself. Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, and lot of other peaks are visible. After descending from the peak, you continue your descent to Lobuche . O/N.

Lobuche to Lobuche Base Camp (4,950 m/16,240 ft/1-2 hours trek):

Today we trek further to Lobuche Base Camp from Lobuche through some plane and more steep trail with viewing roaring Lobuche Glacier and amazing views of Ama Dablam, Pokalde, Thamserku, Kantega and other neighboring mountains. This day we will do some pre-climbing exercise to sharpen our climbing techniques. Overnight at Lobuche Base Camp.

Lobuche Base Camp to High Camp (5,400 m/17,712 ft/3-4 hours trek):

From Lobuche Base Camp, this day we further trek up to High Camp through rocky path. As this is quite technical route our guides will support you to climb up slowly and carefully. Upon reaching High Camp we set our camp. Overnight in tented camp.

Lobuche High Camp to Summit (6,119 m/20,070 ft) and back to High Camp (8-10 hours trek):

Day when we get to our ultimate goal. This day we start early morning around 1 am to avoid the wind and make our successful summit. The way to summit is rocky and covered with ice. Upon we make the summit, we will rewarded with superb views of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Cholatse, Pumori, and neighboring peaks. After spending some time to collect superb views, we then trek back to High Camp. Overnight at High Camp in tented camp.

Lobuche High Camp to Pangboche (3,930 m/12,900 ft/8-9 hours trek):

From High Camp, this day we will trek back to Pangboche through Lobuche and Pheriche villages enjoying superb views of snowcapped mountains. A hard walking day but a rewarding walk though. We will stay overnight at Pangboche.

Pangboche to Namche Bazaar (4-5 hours trek):

We take early breakfast, then we first trek to Tengboche where we will get chance to explore Tengboche Monastery- biggest Buddhist Monastery in Khumbu region. From there we trek down through rhododendron forest and follow the Dudhkoshi river bank to get Namche Bazar. We will stay overnight at Namche Bazar.

Namche Bazaar to Lukla (6-7 hours trek):

This day we trek back to Lukla following the Dudhkoshi river bank. In Lukla we will have dinner with our Sherpa and Porters to celebrate our successful Lobuche Peak Climbing. Overnight at teahouse.

Fly to Kathmandu:

We take early flight to get back Kathmandu from Lukla. In Kathmandu we will enough free time for rest and to do some last minute shopping. In evening join a farewell dinner organized by Zed Travels Team to celebrate the successful Lobuche Peak Climbing. Overnight at hotel.

Fly back home:
