Arrive in Kathmandu (1,335 m)

Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, a Zed Travels representative will be there for your warm welcome and help you to transfer to the hotel. In free time take good rest and get refreshed of jet-lag. In evening join welcome dinner organized by Zed Travels Team.


In Kathmandu (1,334 m):

The Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing is focused to introduce some of the UNESCO World Heritage Listed sites of Kathmandu which includes Soyambhunath – “The Monkey Temple”, Pashupatinath, Boudhanath and historical Kathmandu Durbar Square. Enjoy exploring. Overnight at hotel.


Kathmandu to Jiri (2,100 m/7-8 hours)

After breakfast, we will take our private vehicle to Jiri. We can enjoy the panoramic views of eastern Himalayas including Ganesh Himal, Langtang Lirung, and Dorje Lakpa along the way. We will stay overnight at a teahouse at Jiri.


Jiri to Bhandara (2,370 m/6 hours trek):

Starting day of trekking. Today we will start our walking through dense forests. We then cross a beautiful Sherpa village Mali and then the bridge to Shivalaya and reach Bhadara for overnight.


Bhandar to Sete (2,650 m/5-6 hours trek)

From Bhadara, the trail first passes Baranda to reach Likhu Khola. Further we continue climbing to Kenja-small village of Newars and Magars. We then cross Lamjura Pass will reach to Sete. Stay overnight at Sete.


Sete to Junbesi (3,530 m/6-8 hours trek)

From Sete the trek heads into the mountain forest of rhododendron and climb up to Goyom and then top of the Lamjura pass. From there we take descend down trail through fields to reach Junbesi. Overnight at Junbesi.


Junbesi to Nuntala (2,980 m/7-8 hours trek)

The trail first crosses the Junbesi Khola and head towards Phaplu. From there it passes through the forest of blue pine and oak and climb up to Khurtang where we can get glimpse of Everest, as well as Thamaserku and Mera peaks. Further we will trek to Nuntala for overnight. Overnight at Nuntala.


Nuntala to Bupse (2,300 m/7 hours trek):

From Nuntala, we take descend trail to Dudhi Koshi River. We then we will walk through several Sherpa and Magar villages before entering the forest to reach Jubhing. From Jubhing we descend down and cross Khari Khola. From there we take ascending trail to reach Bupse. Overnight at Bupse.


Bupse to Choplung (2,860 m/6-8 hours trek):

From Bupse, enter the next valley and descend across the river. As you round the bottom of Khari La valley, you will see Cho Oyu and Gyachung Kang in front of you. Follow the valley for about three hours, slowly climbing out of it and up to the ridge. Entering the next valley, you will see the holy mountain of Khumbiyula. Climb upwards to meet the main trail from Lukla. You will pass a spectacular waterfall and gorge before emerging out into the pasture land surrounding Choplung. Overnight at Choplung.


Choplung to Namche Bazaar (3,420 m/6-8 hours trek)

After breakfast we will first trek to Phakding. From Phakding we follow Dudhkoshi river we then pass several suspension bridges to reach Namche Bazar which is the trading center of Khumbu Region. Overnight at Namche Bazar.


In Namche Bazaar (3,440 m):

Get acclimatized while exploring the local markets. Walk up to the Everest view point to glimpse your final destination and visit the local cultural museum. Overnight at Namche Bazar.


Namache Bazar to Tengboche (3,870m/5-6 hours):

Set off towards Tengboche. This day the trail goes ups and downs and magnificent views of Mt Everest, Mt Nuptse, Mt Lhotse and close views of Thamserkhu and Amadablam will accompany along the way to Tengboche. As Tengboche is one of the best mountain view point we can enjoy the superb views of mountains. Tengboche also has the biggest Buddhist Monastery of Everest Region. Enjoy exploring. Overnight.


Tengboche to Dingboche (4,360 m/6-7 hours):

From Tengboche, this day we will trek to Dingboche. We pass several Chortens and Mani walls and small villages during this day. This day we also cross a village name Pangboche where the oldest Monastery of Everest Region is located. As Dingboche is another view point, we can enjoy amazing mountain views from there. Overnight.


Acclimatization day in Dingboche:

As the elevation rise this day take a rest day at Dingboche. It is better to hike Nagarstang hill before lunch. After lunch, we take rest at Dingboche. Overnight.


Dingboche to Labuche(4,940 m/5-6 hours trek):

From Dingboche, the trail gradually climb up to Duglha. We then cross Duglha Pass the beginning of Khmubu Glacier and gradually trek up to Labuche. In Labuche we can find some typically stone design houses. Overnight.


Labuche to Gorakshep (5,170 m/7-8 hours trek) – Everest Base Camp (5,364 m/17,594 ft.) – Gorakshep:

Day when we catch our ultimate dream. This day we start early morning from Labuche. The trail first go to Gorakshep for lunch. From Gorakshep we further hike up to Everest Base Camp. We can spend some time in Everest Base Camp. After then we trek back to Gorakshep for overnight. We can still get the superb views of mountains from our teahouse as well. Overnight.


Gorakshep to Kalapathar (5,545 m) – Pheriche (4,280 m/6-7 hours trek) – Early morning hike Kalapathar (5,545 m):

Best mountain view point which offers the stunning views including :Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse and other neighboring peaks. Enjoy the picturesque views. Then we descend dow to Pheriche for overnight.


Pheriche to Namche (4-5 hours trek):

An easy walking day. With 4 hours gentle walk from Pheriche we reach Namche Bazar. Same way back via Tengboche. Overnight.


Namche to Phakding (4-5 hours trek):

From Namche the trail descends steeply via Dudh Koshi River then passes Jorsalle and Monjo before reaching Phakding. It takes 5 hours to reach Phakding from Namche Bazar. Overnight.


Phakding to Lukla (3-4 hours trek):

With 3-4 hours descend trail trek from Phakding we will reach to Lukla. In evening there will be a farewell dinner with Sherpa and Guides. Overnight at Lukla.


Fly back Kathmandu:

We take early morning flight to get back Kathmandu from Lukla. In free time we can explore around Thamel to do some last minutes shopping. In evening join farewell dinner organized by Zed Travels for successful Jiri to Everest Base Camp Trekking. Overnight.


Fly back home

Namche to Phakding (4-5 hours trek):

From Namche the trail descends steeply via Dudh Koshi River then passes Jorsalle and Monjo before reaching Phakding. It takes 5 hours to reach Phakding from Namche Bazar. Overnight.
